Thompson Seniors Community Resource Council is updating its resource guide called The Connections Book.

The Thompson Humane Society will be hosting a Poker Tournament this Saturday at the Royal Canadian Legion. Registration opens at 1:30 with seating at 2:45 and the games start at 3pm. Registration for this first tournament is limited to 30 people. Buy-in is $100 with re-buys set at $50 with a maximum of 3 re-buys.

All net proceeds from the Poker Tournament go towards operations of the Animal Shelter. Total prize payout is 70% of the prize pool.

The rest of the 2026 Tournament games are scheduled to take place once a month.
